Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU) is a prestigious university in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of the Sanskrit language and traditional Indian knowledge. The Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU) is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1791 and reconstituted as a university in 1958. It is a type of state university that is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC). The campus area is approximately 67 acres. The motto is “From darkness, lead me to light.”
to use Sanskrit to preserve, promote, and advance knowledge of ancient Indian literature, culture, and sciences.

Mission:

to provide high-quality instruction in traditional Indian sciences, literature, and the Sanskrit language.
