The Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU) is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1791 and reconstituted as a university in 1958. It is a type of state university that is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC). The campus area is approximately 67 acres. The motto is “From darkness, lead me to light.”
