SAGE University was established by an Act of the State Government of Madhya Pradesh, exercising the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 28 of the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapna avam Sanchalan) Adhiniyam, 2007, as notified by the Higher Education Department, State Government of M.P., in the Ordinary Gazette of M.P. Located in Indore, SAGE University is a premier private university in India, ranked 4th in Central India and 65th overall in the country according to The Times of India 2020 Ranking. It has also been recognized as the number 1 emerging university by Outlook in 2020.
SAGE University has received approvals from the UGC, AICTE, BCI, COA, and PCI, and has achieved an A+ grade from NAAC. The university offers a diverse range of courses at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD levels across various disciplines, including Engineering, Commerce, Management, Pharmacy, Science, Humanities, and Design. Some of its most sought-after programs include B.Tech, MBA, BBA, B.Des, and PhD. Admissions to SAGE University are based on entrance exams or merit. The university conducts its entrance test, known as the SAGE Entrance Exam (SEE), every year. SAGE University offers B.Pharma., B.Sc., BCA, and B.Tech. Courses for which the candidates have to pass in 10+2 with science stream. Also, the candidates need to have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks along with the related subjects. The selection for all the courses will be based upon the marks obtained in SEE conducted by SAGE Indore, except for B.Tech. which will be done based on merit in JEE Main. The university also offers B.Tech+MBA in CSE & MBA Business Analytics for 5 years.
In addition to the above bachelor’s programs, SAGE University Indore also offers other bachelor programs like B. Arch., B.Plan., B.Design, BHM, BJMC, BA LLB (Integrated), BBA LLB (Integrated) and LLB. The minimum eligibility for all these courses is a pass in 10+2 with at least 50% marks along with the related subjects. For LLB, the candidate must have graduated with 45% marks before applying.
The selection under B.Arch. Will be based on the score in NATA/ JEE Main paper II, for LLB it will be done on the basis of entrance tests like CLATE/LSAT/AILET. For courses other than these, the candidates will have to appear for SEE.
SAGE University offers M.Sc. in 11 categories and M.Tech. in 10 categories. To apply to all the M.Sc. courses, the candidate must have passed the bachelor’s program in the related stream. The selection for M.Sc. will be done on the basis of SEE or merit basis depending upon the specialization.
Under M.Tech., the candidate must have done B.E./ B.Tech. with at least 55% marks in aggregate with the related subjects. The selection will be based on the GATE/NET or SUET exam conducted by the SAGE Indore.
In addition to M.Sc. and M.Tech., SAGE Indore offers other Master’s courses also. It is mandatory for all the candidates to have done graduation in the relevant stream with at least 50% marks, for being eligible to apply. For LLM eligibility, the candidate should have done an LLB course. For selection, the candidate has to sit for the SAGE Entrance Examination (SEE).
SAGE University offers MBA courses with numerous specializations of 2 years duration each. The minimum qualification required for applying to any of the specializations is, that the candidate must have graduated with at least 50% marks.
For admission under MBA, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate upon graduation.
SAGE University, in addition to UG and PG courses also offers a Ph.D of 3 years duration. A candidate who has done Masters with at least 55% marks or a 6 CGPA on a scale of 10.
