NIT Sikkim
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sikkim, an autonomous institute, is established in 2010. In the NIRF 2023 rankings, the institute was ranked in the range – 151-200. The institute is recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE. NIT Sikkim offers undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) in various streams and postgraduate courses such as MTech, MSc, and doctoral programmes (PhD). Admissions to various courses are conducted based on national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main for BTech, GATE for MTech and IIT JAM/IAT for MSc courses. After qualifying for the exam, students also have to appear in the counseling process for admission to aforesaid courses.

Regarding Placement
The institute has released the 2023 placement rate for BTech. As per the latest placement brochure, 83.70% of BTech students were placed during the academic year 2022-23. Further, the BTech students received 100% internship opportunities in reputed organisations. The prominent recruiters of NIT Sikkim placements 2023 included Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.
Along with the above details, the institute has released the NIRF report 2024. As per the report, the median package offered to the BTech and MTech students during NIT Sikkim placements 2023 were INR 8.50 LPA and INR 8.20 LPA, respectively.
