National Institute of Technology Hamirpur or NIT Hamirpur is an institute of Engineering and Technology. Located in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, NITH was established by a joint collaboration of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

NIT Hamirpur was initially set up as Regional Engineering College (REC) in 1986, with only two departments – Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering as compared to 13 departments at present. It was in 2002, REC was given the status of the deemed university and upgraded to NIT Hamirpur. At present, the institute runs a variety of UG, PG and doctoral courses across streams like Engineering, Architecture, Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Management. Regarding Placement

The highest package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 173 LPA, which was offered to the students of the BTech CSE branch. Further, a total of 690 students were placed out of 952 eligible students. Apart from this, a total of 713 offers were made during NIT Hamirpur placements 2023. The institute has also released the NIRF report 2024, as per which the median package for BTech and MTech placements 2023 stood at INR 8.25 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA, respectively.

Other than this, the highest package offered during NIT Hamirpur MBA placements 2023 stood at INR 5 LPA, whereas the placement rate recorded was 61.11%. Moreover, the highest package offered during NIT Hamirpur MTech and MSc placements 2023 was INR 32.45 LPA and INR 10.83 LPA, respectively.
