Don Bosco College, situated in the heart of Panjim, was established in the year 2001. The college offers UG, PG and certificate courses like BBA, BA, MSW, B.PEd, MCA, etc. Additionally, it also provides a certificate course in Sound Engineering. The admission to the college is both merit and entrance based followed by the interview.
How to Apply?
- To apply for any course, you have to create an account on their website to receive notifications through message, mail, or WhatsApp.
- First, you need to provide the personal details and documents required and make the online payment to complete the registration process.
- The student will be called for any further clarification if any.
- Interviews, physical verification of documents, entrance exam, takes place based on Goa University’s guidelines, Government of Goa, or the Central Government.
- Applicants can also withdraw the registration by submitting the Request Application Withdrawal.
Don Bosco College Facilities
The college offers various facilities to fulfil all the needs of the students as well as the teachers. Following are the facilities available on the campus:
- Classrooms: Classrooms are equipped with a computer, LCD projector, WIFI connectivity, and 3-1 surround sound systems. Online classes are held through software called ‘Moodle’ to ensure the best learning and teaching experience for both students and teachers.
- Laboratories: Labs are well-equipped and are accessible anytime during college hours. Each department has its own IT lab with the latest technology in Computers such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe InDesign, and other Adobe Suite applications.
- Library: The college library facilities both paper-packed and e-books for the students. The library can be accessed at any time of the day.
- Sports: The college provides courts and provisions for games such as Football, Cricket, Handball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Basketball, Table Tennis, and Badminton. It also facilities a Multi-purpose hall for yoga and aerobics and also a well-equipped gym.
- Media Studio: The college has a well-equipped soundproof studio with DSLRs, 4K-enabled video cameras, Three-Point lighting, Chroma-Screen or Green Screen, Online Video editing tools, Digital Sound Recording technology, LED lights, Video Mixers, Audio Mixers, Teleprompters, and many more. The students’ contents are presented in the YouTube channel named ‘Don Bosco TV’ as ‘Campus Notes.’
- Hostel: College also facilitates a separate hostel for boys and girls.
- Spirituality: A two-day retreat takes place annually for Catholic students. At the same time, the two-day session takes place for other faith students.
- Committees: The college facilitates various committees to provide a harmonious atmosphere, showcase talents, such as Women’s Cell, Cultural, Prevention of Ragging, Literary, Students Welfare & Redressal, and many more led by the faculties of the college.
