About Us

Deshbandhu College is a constituent of Delhi University and the largest co-educational institute in South Delhi. It is recognized by the UGC and is accredited by the NAAC with a ‘B++’ grade. Deshbandhu College is ranked among top 100 colleges by the NIRF. India Today 2022 has ranked the college 48th in the science category and 75th in the arts category across universities and colleges in India. Moreover, the college offers courses in the Arts, Commerce, and Science departments. In addition, it offers seven PG and eighteen UG courses in language, Literature, History, Political Science, and numerous other disciplines.

Deshbandhu College has a placement cell as well. This placement cell is tasked with preparing the students for brighter job opportunities and internships. It also organizes placement drives for colleges and invites top companies to take part in the drive. Deshbandhu College Delhi Admission Process 2024

Deshbandhu College admission to the UG and PG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. The admission process of the college includes appearing for the CUET examination and then appearing in the CSAS seat allotment. Registrations for admission to college start after CUET result declarations. Candidates must select Delhi University while filling out the CUET application can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose their college and course preferences. Step 1: Appear for the Entrance Examination

Step 2: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who qualify the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the seat allotment. Once registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill college and course preferences.

Step 3: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation will be done in multiple rounds for all programs. Seats are allocated based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other national-level tests, combination of college and program chosen, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.

Step 4: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Candidates can check their seat allotment results by logging into Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. Upon acceptance of seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the admission fees.

Financial Assistance

The college grants fee concessions to a maximum of 20% of the total number of students on its rolls every year. Fee concession is awarded to deserving students who apply on a prescribed form available in the college office.Information regarding freeships granted by State Government are put on the notice board from time to time.

Under the National Loan Scholarship Scheme those students who have obtained a first division (60% marks or more) in their last examination can apply for a loan scholarship through the college. In addition, the college has a financial assistance fund with the objective of extending financial assistance to needy students.
