Banasthali Vidyapith University, Jaipur offers courses from elementary to doctoral levels. Banasthali University offers a variety of Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral level Programs under distinct Departments. Admission to the same is based on performance in the qualifying examination; however, for some programmes, a university-level aptitude test is also administered.

Applications are accepted both online and offline through the admission portal. Admission to various UG, PG, doctorate, and diploma programmes is merit- or aptitude-based, depending on tests administered by the university. Also, only women are permitted admission to the Banasthali Vidyapith. Admissions to all UG, PG, and PhD programmes at Banasthali Vidyapith for the class of 2022 are now closed.

According to NIRF Report 2022, during Banasthali Vidyapith Placements 2020–21, out of 1423 students, 85 were placed from UG(3–year) programmes, and the median salary offered was INR 2.65 LPA; out of 1016 eligible students, 791 were placed, and the median salary offered from UG(4–year) programmes was INR 4.5 LPA. 67 students from the UG(5year) Program were chosen from 210 graduating students and given a median pay of INR 2.87 LPA. Two students were chosen from the PG(1 year) programme, and the median pay provided was INR 2.73 LPA.

Banasthali Vidyapeeth Admission

All applicants who meet the minimum requirements for the desired courses offered at Banasthali Vidyapith Admission section may submit a properly completed form to be considered for admission. Applications are accepted by Banasthali Vidyapith in both offline and online formats for a variety of UG, PG, PhD, and diploma programmes. Candidates must submit the application form along with a number of supporting papers and the application fee (non-refundable).

According to the NIRF report 2022, only 874 of the 1,207 UG and PG students who applied for jobs at Banasthali Vidyapeeth placements Jaipur were ultimately hired. During placement 2024, the median compensation provided to BTech and B Pharm students was INR 5.60 LPA and INR 3.50 LPA, respectively. The median package provided to BTech students during placement in 2024 has increased by over 4% in comparison to 2020.

Banasthali Vidyapeeth Campus life and Events

Since 1935, Banasthali University has been a pioneering organization in the sphere of women’s education. The institution’s 850-acre campus is home to multiple structures of diverse shapes and sizes that house different academic and administrative buildings. The campus, which can accommodate its residents’ basic needs, has been largely separated into the University division, School division, and residential blocks.

Hostel

Residence life is a feature of Banasthali University. There are 29 hostels with a 110 to 438 student capacity. All hostels now have network and Internet connectivity, giving students limitless chances to harness the Internet’s potential. There are more than 400 completely furnished staff quarters of various types available, including one-story cottages, modern flats with multiple floors, and a working women’s hostel with 113 beds.

Sports

The campus is equipped with top-notch facilities for sporting events. Various events, including parades and yearly fairs, take place at the Laxmi Bai Maidan. For regular cultural events and movie screenings, it also contains a stage and a projection room. The Vidula Maidan has fields for sports like hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, yoga, martial arts, and activities for large-scale physical displays.

Additionally, there is sufficient room for indoor sports like badminton and table tennis. Students, employees, and their families are welcome to use the pool. With 41 horses and a field called “Veer Bala Maidan,” horseback riding is another unusual hobby that has been practiced for a long time.

Central Library

The Central Library offers 8 Mbps Internet connectivity through a variety of means, including a BSNL leased line and a VSNL leased line. The library has been utilizing LIBSYS, a comprehensive software package for Integrated Library Management that includes all the modules needed for library housekeeping tasks. More than 1.60 lakh records for books and 13,500 past issues of periodicals can be found in the library’s online catalog.

Around 550 of the roughly 600 periodicals the library currently receives are subscription-based, while the rest titles are free. Online access to almost 9000 titles is provided through UGC-INFONET Consortia.

Community Radio 

Radio Banasthali, a “Community FM Radio Station,” broadcasts educational and entertainment shows that were locally produced by Banasthali’s students and personnel. It serves the college and the neighborhood within a 30 km radius of Banasthali and broadcasts at a frequency of 90.4 MHz.

Hospital

The Banasthali University operates “Apaji Arogya Mandir,” a hospital with 60 beds, competent medical professionals, and other hospital personnel. Throughout the year, the hospital is open 24/7.

Air Strips 

The Banasthali University has a 50,191,418 square meter licenced airstrip that is used to instruct students in gliding and flying. Before Banasthali was given university status in 1960, this was one of the events that was first introduced. BVGFC began operations as a regular flying club on January 9, 2009.

IT Infrastructure 

At Banasthali, the IT infrastructure is on par with that of any top-tier university. Every department and office in Banasthali has adequate computing resources in addition to high bandwidth Internet access that is provided through a fiber optic Campus Network, in addition to the state-of-the-art Servers and Workstations at Apaji Institute of Mathematics & Applied Computer Technology.

This IT infrastructure has significantly increased thanks to Artech-Dalmia I.T. Center. Shri M.H. Dalmia and Artech LTD provided some financial support for the center’s construction. The Center offers computer-aided design, scientific computing, microelectronics & VLSI design, and computational biology courses in modern classrooms and high-end computing labs.
