ITI Draughtsman (Civil) Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for ITI Draughtsman (Civil) is mentioned below.
- The interested candidate must have completed their 10th exam from a recognised board.
- Maths and Science paper is compulsory in class 10th to join this course
- The candidate has to qualify for the AIE CET exam to get admission to government ITI colleges
- 12th passed students are also allowed to join.
- The age of the candidate should not be less than 15 years and more than 40 Years
ITI Draughtsman (Civil) Admission Process
The admission process differs from institute to institute like some ITI institutes take direct admission without taking any entrance test whereas some institutes take admission based on merit list or entrance examination. The applying process is exactly the same in all the methods. Candidates will have to fill out the application form and submit the same to the college.
There are three ways to get admission in ITI Draughtsman (Civil).
- Direct Admission- The majority of the private ITI institute take direct admission into ITI courses. The candidates can directly apply and get admission but they won’t get any benefits of scholarship as they don’t have to give the entrance exam.
- Merit and Management Quota – There are almost 30% seats reserved for the merit-based candidates and also for quota category seats for SC/ST/OBC/Defence service/Single girl child/EWS/BPL/Kashmiri migrants candidates. The respective institute release the merit list based on the score in the 10th examination.
- AIE CET – The admission in this process depends on your results in the entrance examination. It is a national-level entrance examination. The candidates get a 100% scholarship through this exam. 70% of seats are reserved for the candidates who clear AIE CET in colleges like Puran Murti.
