About Us

Kannada Sangha, Pune was founded in 1952 as a cultural organization of and for Kannadigas residing in Pune. In 1963, Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao popularly known as Dr. K. S. Rao and other Kannadiga stalwarts started a Kannada Medium school with just 35 students in a quest to open up opportunities to marginalized migrant children from Karnataka. Today, we have grown and evolved to include two English medium schools offering education from pre-primary to Std. X, a Kannada medium high school offering high school education to poor children of Kannadigas, a junior college as well as a senior college for undergraduate and post-graduate studies. Over 7000 students pursue excellence with us in our different institutes spread over four campuses. We believe in providing learner centric education. We prioritize the changing needs of students and keep up with technological advancements to providing the latest and best facilities for our students.

Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Ganesh Nagar, Erandwane, Pune , Permanently Affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, was established in the year 2004 with three-year under graduate B.Com. degree program by the Kannada Sangha, Pune. The college is recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12 (B) of UGC Act, 1956. It is a Permanently Non-Aided Linguistic Minority (Kannada) College. The college runs seven undergraduate and two post graduate courses namely B.Com., BBA, BBA (IB), BBA (Computer Application) under the faculty of Commerce and Management, B.Sc., B.Sc. (Computer Science) under the faculty of Science and Technology, BA under the faculty of Mental, Moral and Social Sciences, M.Com under the faculty of Commerce and Management and M.Sc.(Computer Science) under the faculty of Science and Technology.

Our Growth

We initiated the BBA, BBA (CA) and B.Sc. (Comp. Sci.) under graduate three- year degree courses in 2006. The M.Sc. (Comp Sci.) a two-year post graduate degree course was introduced in the year 2011. To make the college a full-fledged multi faculty college, the Faculty of Arts was started in the year 2014 and offers an under graduate three-year BA course. In 2016, the college began offering another three-year under graduate degree course, titled ‘Bachelor of Business Administration (International Business) BBA (IB) under the Faculty of Commerce. Our quality policy is guided by two principles: Learner Centric Approach and Safe Environment. Our Vision ‘Excellence in Education’ inspires us to providing the learning community with quality education, excellent facilities and numerous opportunities for holistic and all-round development. In addition to this, we give impetus to expose our students and staff to real life applications of theoretical knowledge. We encourage Industry- Institute interaction and collaboration to keep our learners updated with global changes and industry needs. Our college is equipped with state of art infrastructural facilities like well-lit classrooms, laboratories with high end equipment’s, library, Vroom, playground, gymnasium and auditorium.
